Well, I food-logged, most of the time. Some people call it flogging, but that sounds like punishment. I decided to call it my Fairy Log. Food + Diary. That way I am continuing to employ fitness fairies in my behalf!
I lost 0.8 lb. It's a little bit. The biggest change I made is that I am consciously trying to eat more vegetables. Last night instead of natural sugar cake (the only sweets I can eat really) I went for a handful of baby carrots with low fat sour cream.
I am also examining my vitamin routines and trying to make sure I don't miss any doses, after a really tough week. So that may be my main focus next week, besides vegetables. I need some energy!
Looks like you are doing well. I know your medical condition must make this journey very difficult. I'll pray that you or your doctors find the key to unlock some energy and vitality for you!
ReplyDeleteThank you.
ReplyDeleteI love that...Fairy, sounds so much better than flog. I've also noticed while tracking that I was missing veggies and fruit. It's amazing how much we can learn from keeping a fairy. Good luck next week.
ReplyDelete.8 is more than 3 sticks of butter, weight-wise, so I'd call that a significant loss :)
ReplyDeleteWell done all around!
Following the link you posted for the STSC on Debbie's blog. Congrats on the .8 loss!! I'm looking forward to getting to know you better this summer! :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you all. 3 sticks of butter--I like that. Visualizing that makes it so much easier to stick to it.
ReplyDeleteMy mother-in-law does the "butter sticks" too! It helps her. You're doing great!
ReplyDeleteYeah!!! Excellent, Lynn, especially on the vegetables.
ReplyDeleteEvery little bit adds up in the end! You are doing great! I'm working on adding more fruits and veggies to my diet too! Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the loss. I agree. Flogging sounds..negative. Maybe...Fooding? haha. Or Food tracking could be Fracking? No, that sounds bad, too.
ReplyDeleteYeah, stick with Fairy Log. :D
Happy new challenge week to us all!
Yay on the loss! I'm not sure what sugar cake is but I'm thinking those carrots are a much better option so KUDOS to you for grabbing those rather than the cake:-)
ReplyDeleteI guess that wasn't very clear. It's not "sugar cake" but cake made with natural, organic sugar instead of refined sugar. It is less addicting, more flavorful, and sweeter so I use about 25% less sugar in a recipe. Best of all, it doesn't make my fibromyalgia flare the way refined sugar does, though I still have to be careful not to overdo it, as with any sweets or honey.
ReplyDeleteYou need to post the recipe for "Sugar Cake" sounds good, keep up the great work!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your loss Lynn! Good job on getting in more vegetables which can sometimes be a hard thing to do !
ReplyDeleteAny loss is a good thing. 0.8 is almost 1 pound. And if you had the 'old-fashioned' scale, it would have averaged it to 1 pound. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd good for increasing the veggies. I have no problem with that part as I love most vegetables - raw or cooked. I know, my nutritionist says I'm her favorite 'cause she doesn't have to get on me about the veggies. :)
Love your blog. Keep up the good work :)
ReplyDeleteEvery pound or partial pound lost is a weight loss. Here's to another great week. Stay strong, michele
ReplyDeleteNice on the loss, stick with the veggies next week! I need to be better on vitamins too!
