The Process of Maturing

"The process of maturing is an art to be learned, an effort to be sustained. By the age of fifty you have made yourself what you are, and if it is good, it is better than your youth." --Marya Mannes

This was the thought for today in my journal ideas pile.

My response: By fifty--and I'm nearly there--I am what I am at 50, but it doesn't mean it's what I will always be. God doesn't slap a magic age limit on change.

The picture is an album cover I created in a Facebook app some time ago.

  1. Oh by the way God worked a miracle in me and I walked today, to the grocery and back and a little more, a total of 1.37 miles. Which I realize is not far but I walked.

  2. Hey, a mile is awesome!!! Way to go!

I like this idea of continual maturing. It's like what President Hinckley said on his interview with Larry King, when he talked about the Church being run by old men who wouldn't be blown about by the changing fads and fashions of the times. We have all the time in the world to become our best selves! (Granted, it won't all be done in this world, but still!)

    Okay, I'm shutting up now.

Yay! You walked over a mile!
